PhD Student in Operations Research (M/F)

2- years contract, renewable once
starting September 2009

Research area: Multiple Criteria Decision Aid.
The applicant will join the Decision Deck project (
http://www.decision-deck.org).
Deadline: July 31st 2009

Tasks:

* prepare a PhD in computer science,
* Participate in the seminar activities of the Faculty with a volume of
one to three hours a week,
* Contribute to the students tutoring activities of the Faculty,
* Help maintain the web site of the research team.


Profile:

* a master degree in applied discrete mathematics or computer sciences,
* background in operational research, decision analysis or graph theory
required,
* inquisitiveness, commitment and creativity,
* good written and oral English skills are obligatory, working knowledge
in German and/or French is an advantage.
